Toronto's MBA school hosts NSCAD president in integrated thinking seminar
TORONTO - East Coast Connected is proud to join the Rotman School of Management in sponsoring the school's recent Integrative Thinking Seminar that featured NSCAD University President David B. Smith. Dr. Smith spoke to a crowd of more than 150 academics, business and designers professionals on the need for business people to think more like artists and designers.
A vigorous question and answer period followed President Smith's speech, which highlighted his own journey in business and design as a professional and an academic and the positive attributes both disciplines bring to an organization. A Toronto native now returned to his alma mater, President Smith hopes to lay the foundation of success at NSCAD as he introduces business practices into the curriculum of this leading design school.
East Coast Connected is dedicated to strengthening partnerships between leading business and academic institutions in Toronto and Atlantic Canada.
Founded in 1887 as one of North America's first art schools, NSCAD has recently celebrated the opening of its third campus along the Halifax waterfront.
