Hailing from the gritty post-industrial towns of Nova Scotia, The Stanfields are Jon Landry (lead vocals and guitar), Jason MacIsaac (guitar and vocals), Jason Wright (bouzouki and vocals), Craig Eugene Harris (bass and vocals) and Mark Murphy (drums).

Since forming in the summer of 2008, The Stanfields have wasted no time making their mark on the venerable Atlantic Canadian music scene. In March they were voted by readers of The Coast Magazine in Halifax, “Best Band”, “Band Most Likely to Make it Big” and, for the second consecutive year, "Best Band to Get Trashed To". The Stanfields have been hailed as “the bastard children of AC/DC and Stan Rogers” by Halifax's Q104 and “the Clash meets Steve Earle” by Great Big Sea's Sean McCann.

After over 135 sweat-soaked shows and multiple cross-country trips, including a shared bill with Sloan at the Vancouver Olympics, performances at Canadian Music Week and The East Coast Music Awards, The Stanfields performed at JUNOFEST in St. John’s, returning home with a worldwide deal with The Agency Group.

The Stanfields are poised to release their debut full-length recording, co-produced with Darren Van Niekerk (Matt Mays, K-OS) at Sonic Temple in Halifax. The group’s lead single “The Dirtiest Drunk (in the History of Liquor)” is currently in the Top 10 on Halifax’s home of rock n’roll, Q104. Its music video, directed by Aram Kouyoumdjian, will be released later this week.

I'd like to go to the concert of The Stanfields. At first I thought that it is Ashley Macissac (guitar and vocals). He performed at Vancouver 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremonies. I saw him in the video http://www.tubestime.com/watch/ashley-macisaac-performs-vancouver-2010-olympics-opening-ceremonies and liked his style so much. Well, this is Jason Macissac and I'd like to check if all people with such a name are great singers and players.
