ECC hits newstands in Halifax

Chris Crowell sat down business reporter Clare Mellor and discussed how ECC has achieved so much in just over 2 years. In the article, published in the business section of Saturday’s Chronicle Herald, Chris says that in the 21st Century, the ‘brain drain’ concept is really ‘out of date’.
While a certain percentage of Atlantic Canadians are still migrating out of the region, social networking and the advancements of other technologies related to the internet have made connecting with ‘back home’ much easier. The article brings up the notion that increased communications capability can only fortify the ties between the expatriate community and the region.

"It’s all about brain circulation... We knew we were tapping into a lot of good will for the Atlantic provinces. Most people who have left the region have not done so out of choice. . . . They have left quite reluctantly," he said.
