There are a number of East Coasters living in the Toronto area and many are willing to reach out to you and make you feel welcome in your new home away from home. If you are a recent graduate from Atlantic Canada who is living and working in Toronto, East Coast Connected will connect you with a mentor. To maximize your relationship with your mentor, we believe your role as mentee is as follows:

• Assume responsibility for your own career growth and development
• Take charge of the partnership
• Initiate contact for at least four meetings with your mentor
• Discuss expectations of the relationship with mentor
• Pose questions (research in advance of the meeting)
• Be receptive to feedback and coaching
• Follow up on your mentor's suggestions
