The Newfoundland & Labrador Choir of Ottawa presents: Maritime Memories: Songs & Stories from the Helen Creighton Collection on January 23, 2010.

Mark your calendars! The next adventure in folklore, entitled "Maritime Memories" promises to be a very special event, featuring songs and stories from the famed Helen Creighton Collection.

The special guest will be Clary Croft: renowned folklorist, singer, songwriter, biographer, archivist and THE authority on Helen Creighton, Canada’s First Lady of Folklore).

Also Atlantic Voives is proud to present on the eve of our concert, a special performance workshop which will be led by Mr. Croft. For more info visit our website at www.atlanticvoices.ca!

In addition to the great musical and story telling line-up (including personal stories from the proud grandson of one of Helen Creighton's prized 'informants'), the Atlantic Mascot mascot Tiika and house band the Fumblin' Fingers will be in the house. There will also be a silent auction, door prizes and....a free lunch!
